Townsville Hospital and Health Service, is the public healthcare provider for the government areas of Townsville, Burdekin, Charters Towers, Flinders, Richmond, Hinchinbrook and Palm Island; operating 21 facilities from primary care in regional locations to highly specialised care at the main hospital.

GP Link HealthPathways which sits within the Patient Flow Support Unit at Townsville University Hospital, is seeking an Administration Support Officer to join their team on a fixed term temporary full-time basis, for up to six months, with the possibility to extend, not exceeding 12 months.

About the opportunity:

Position: Administration Support Officer

Vacancy: Fixed term temporary full-time, six months with the possibility to extend, not exceeding 12 months

Location: GP Link HealthPathways, Patient Flow Support Unit, Townsville University Hospital

HealthPathways is a web-based health information site which helps clinicians guide patients through the complex local health system. HealthPathways provides support in assessing and managing patients (including accessing specialist advice and support) and clear referral pathways for their patients to general community and secondary care services. The pathway are developed in collaboration between general practitioners, specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals across all sectors. The aim of HealthPathways is to improve coordination and integration of primary and secondary care, to identify local health care needs and service gaps, and to provide patients with better access to healthcare.

Your contributions will be valued and impactful.

Generous remuneration package value up to $8138 p.m. comprising:

  • Salary range of $2950.00 to $3280.70 p.f. (AO3)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
