Townsville University Hospital>, located adjacent to one of Queensland’s leading tertiary institutions, James Cook University, is the largest tertiary hospital in northern Australia.

The purpose of this position is to provide high quality administrative support to the assigned units within Facilities and Integrated Support Services, under the direction of the Coordinator Facilities and Fleet. The position provides administration support at short notice for emergent leave.

Position:
Administration Officer (Reliever)
Vacancy: Fixed Term Temporary Full-time up to three (3) months (with the possibility of extension - not exceeding 12 months in total).
Location: Campus Operations, Facilities and Integrated Support Services, Townsville University Hospital

What's on offer?
Remuneration package of up to $8138 p.m.

  • Salary range: $2950.00 to $3280.70 p.f. (AO3)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
  • Flexible working arrangements

About the role

  • Provide high quality administration support to the assigned units within Facilities and Integrated Support Services ensuring the effective day to day operations are maintained whilst demonstrating initiate, flexibility, self-direction and independence in the absence of direct supervision.
  • Manage and undertake administrative duties as directed by the Coordinator Facilities and Fleet and in accordance with the relevant position Task List to ensure efficient and effective administration support is provided.
  • Liaise with all levels of staff, as well as internal and external stakeholders and/or agencies to understand and anticipate needs, undertaking investigations to find and implement solutions to meet those needs whilst demonstrating a positive service focus.

Role requirements

  • Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
