The role

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) reporting to the Health Service Chief Executive (HSCE), is responsible for the efficient delivery of all clinical and non-clinical services. This role involves strategic leadership, direction, and day-to-day management of the North West Hospital and its services to optimise health care and business outcomes.

 The successful person
You will have:

  • Demonstrated high-level capacity to analyse, understand, and implement local future service delivery needs into strategic and operational plans at both local and organizational levels.
  • Proven track record in identifying and developing business and commercial opportunities for improvement.
  • Extensive knowledge of the operations of a large and complex health service delivery organisation, with experience in strategic business development and executive-level leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience at the executive level in conducting and managing significant reform initiatives.
  • Highly developed influencing skills, enabling persuasive negotiation with executive management and key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated executive-level leadership in managing and coordinating internal clinical and non-clinical teams, as well as multi-disciplinary project teams, exercising sound judgment and effective responses in high-pressure environments.

Additional Requirements

  • C Class Motor Vehicle Licence
  • This is a VPD risk role and may required evidence of vaccimation or immunity to Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
