About the role
- Provide strategic and operational leadership of the Corporate Services portfolio within STARS, including development of frameworks policies systems and structures for governance accountability and performance management and management oversite of contracts and information and communication technology (ICT).
- The role supports the Executive Director STARS by developing and maintaining strong relationships with relevant key stakeholders including Metro North Health Executives, STARS Executive, local communities, service delivery partners within public and private sectors, management and staff representatives
- As a member of STARS Executive, the role, is accountable for achieving the alignment of STARS corporate services delivery strategies within the strategic objectives of Metro North Health (MNH).
- The Director of Corporate Services supports the Executive Director STARS in the development and delivery of key reform strategies aimed at enabling achievement of critical whole of service targets and related Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) with reference to government, board and MNH priorities.
About you
This successful applicant will carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Take a leadership role in driving the focus on value, quality, timeliness and results in the delivery of Corporate Services across STARS.
- Participate as a key member of the Executive by ensuring STARS is equipped to provide and support clinical service provision through effective management of STARS Corporate Services budget, establishment and performance
- Develop, participate and provide expert advice, in the development of strategic and operational plans for STARS and Corporate Services.
- Develop, monitor and review systems and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes in accordance with STARS goals
- Provide strategic leadership, direction and management of STARS capital, asset procurement and ICT planning and lead on the management, monitoring and performance of the private partnership (PPP) contract requirements.
- Develop the strategic and operational responses to current and emerging corporate services developments affecting service delivery
