About the role:
Critical minerals are imperative to meet the world’s rapidly growing demand for advanced technologies, build modern economies and maintain national security.
The Senior Project Officer plays a key role in Critical Minerals Queensland, supporting the Engagement Lead and the broader team to build relationships with diverse stakeholder groups throughout the global critical minerals industry.
You will make a significant contribution to our efforts to collaborate with communities, industry, governments and investors to build and strengthen the State’s critical minerals supply chain and position Queensland at the forefront of modern economies.

About the role:
In this role you will:
• Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of annual and or project-based stakeholder engagement plans, programs, projects and initiatives to build relationships with industry, community and government stakeholders throughout the critical minerals industry.
• Conduct research, collate information and undertake analysis to support the planning and implementation of critical industry, community and government stakeholder engagement activities.
• Develop and deliver tailored events and meetings to support key stakeholders to participate and contribute to the growth of the Queensland critical minerals industry.
• Plan and manage projects to support the resolution of issues across Critical Minerals Queensland office, ensuring suitable budget, schedule, and quality assurance aspects of complex projects, case management and stakeholder engagement functions.
• Support, identify and advise the Critical Minerals Queensland, Engagement and Funding Lead on project progress, unforeseen challenges and explore opportunities that offer solutions to achieve Critical Minerals Queensland priorities.
• Work across Critical Minerals Queensland to support the delivery of funding programs and procurement activities that deliver on outcomes identified in the Queensland Critical Minerals Strategy.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships and partnerships with stakeholders, departmental staff, both internal and external to the department.
• Prepare and quality assure submissions, briefing papers correspondence and reports and lead the development of presentations that ensure accurate, timely and well positioned information for a broad audience, including but not limited to stakeholder engagement functions activities for Cabinet, the Minister, senior departmental management and public and private sector stakeholders.
• Act in a manner that is professional and adheres to the Code of Conduct and standards, and role model this for other staff and as a team member.
• Demonstrate commitment to the principles and practices of employment equity, ethical conduct and workplace health and safety.
• Other duties as directed and required.
What we're looking for:
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience delivering grassroots stakeholder engagement events and activities.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and business processes.
• Previous experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
• An established professional network within the Queensland resources industry will be highly regarded.
