The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Coding Quality and Education Leads to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Develop and lead a comprehensive clinical coding quality and education program
- Provide leadership and professional direction to Clinical Coders (Tertiary Casemix) and Clinical Coding Auditors
- Consult and negotiate ICD-10-AM and coding decisions with relevant committees, professional bodies, and external authorities
- Leverage data assets to analyse, evaluate, benchmark, and monitor the effectiveness of education and quality improvement programs
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Diploma in Clinical Coding (or equivalent).
- Advanced knowledge and technical skills in clinical coding using ICD-10-AM, ACHI and Australian Coding standards in 12th Edition
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time and permanent part time (several positions, hrs negotiable)
- Base salary ranging from $121 360- $129 998 per annum; $61.20 - $65.56 per hour

The Digital Transformation and Research division has been established to define, design, enhance delivery and sustainability of our most significant service improvement and digital transformation opportunities.
Our high-level responsibilities for the division are for corporate strategy and planning and oversight and management of strategic partnerships, service improvement, digital transformation, digital operations, digital assets, digital partnerships, portfolio/program/project management including major capital/infrastructure programs, clinical coding, service disruption, service redesign.
