This role based in Brisbane, will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to senior leaders as they welcome the new workforce to the Lockyer Valley Correctional Centre.

The Workforce Culture, Integrity and Capability (WCIC) division of Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) provides high level, consistent guidance and capability across the Agency to achieve mandated deliverables and expectations. The WCIC Division provides an accountability for leading the design and implementation of an Agencywide culture change program linked directly to implementation of the QCS Culture Framework 2024-2028 initially through the immediate targeting of the higher risk, and therefore highest value deliverables within the QCS Culture Action Plan 2024-26.
The AO7 Principal Consultant, Culture and Leadership will have a responsibility for building tactical divisional relationships with its line management while also designing, delivering and implementing a portfolio of QCS wide programs and services aligned to the QCS Culture Action plan including its focus on uplifting leadership capability.
The Principal Consultant works in partnership, to build a capable and resilient workforce.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and nurture productive relationships to ensure Culture Program initiatives are aligned and integrated for organisational success.
- Undertake strategic intelligence gathering in relation to potential systemic organisational issues.
- Research, assess and critically analyse and trend information gathered through a range of elicitation techniques.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts through working parties and other stakeholder consultation activities to understand complex workforce matters and codesign innovative, future focussed and evidence informed solutions.
- Undertake the review, development and implementation of strategies, policies and procedures relating to organisation wide culture and development.
Whilst formal qualifications in human behaviour, organisational psychology, coaching or a related discipline are not mandatory, they would be highly regarded.
