Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on Queensland's justice sector? As a Treasury Analyst (AO5) in Queensland Treasury's Social Policy team, you will play a vital role in shaping fiscally-sound public policy and driving financial performance across key portfolios, including the Queensland Police Service, Department of Justice, Queensland Corrective Services, Queensland Fire Department, and the Department of Women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships and Multiculturalism.
Working in a collaborative and supportive team environment, you will contribute to the development and implementation of policies that align with Queensland's economic recovery priorities and long-term strategy. In this role, you will:
• Provide expert advice, information, and support to clients, senior executives, and the Executive Director on policy, budget, financial reporting, and economic performance issues.
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to address policy and financial matters.
• Analyse and interpret financial data, prepare financial and performance reports, and coordinate budget process requirements for relevant agencies.
• Support organisational strategies and initiatives to achieve government priorities.
• Prepare high-quality submissions, briefing notes, presentations, and correspondence on a range of policy and budget issues.
What experience you will bring:
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong research and analytical capabilities.
• Experience in government policy and/or analysing financial and performance information.
• The ability to work effectively in a team and independently on complex, timesensitive tasks.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
