We’re looking for a highly experienced Senior Engagement Officer to lead the development and delivery of strategic communication and engagement initiatives to support Biosecurity Queensland’s priorities.

In this dynamic role, you’ll shape multi-audience engagement strategies and craft clear, targeted communication, while building trusted relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

You'll also contribute to Queensland’s emergency response capability.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of an organisation that plays a critical role in safeguarding Queensland against biosecurity threats.

Strategy, Investment and Performance (SIP) delivers a range of services to support Biosecurity Queensland (BQ). SIP partners with BQ program areas to provide specialised advice on best business practice and technology to serve internal (and sometimes external) customers and business stakeholders.

As our Senior Engagement Officer, you'll lead the development and delivery of strategic communication and engagement initiatives, from concept to evaluation, in support of Biosecurity Queensland's priorities.

You'll be a great fit for this role if you:

It is a requirement for all Biosecurity Queensland positions to have a criminal history check completed.
