About your opportunity:

In this position you will:

  • Provide high quality, confidential administrative/executive support to the Director of Nursing and Midwifery (DONM) - Cairns Hospital in a mature and professional manner which ensures the integrity and efficiency of that office.
  • Undertake research, prepare, collate and format high-quality written correspondence. This may include correspondence such as letters, memorandums, emails, briefing notes, business cases, PowerPoint presentations and financial reports utilising appropriate corporate templates and within the necessary timeframe.
  • Coordinate and assist with projects allocated to the Director of Nursing and Midwifery (DONM) - Cairns Hospital and relevant stakeholders. This may include basic research, implementation, monitoring and reporting of project progress to project teams and district Executive as required.
  • Provide efficient secretariat and logistical support to committees, working groups and events/functions. This may include the coordination of meetings, preparation of agendas, completion and distribution of minutes, record keeping and organising catering.
