About the Role
The Head of Department - English/Humanities role at Yarrabilba State Secondary College starts on 11th August 2025 (Week 5, Term 3). We are seeking a strong relational and instructional leader with a proven track record of driving improvement in English and Humanities. This role offers a unique chance to lead high-performing teams, foster positive relationships across the school community, and shape innovative teaching practices in a rapidly growing, future-focused school.
Your Responsibilities
As the Head of Department - English / Humanities, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead faculty teams in alignment with school priorities and departmental initiatives
- Develop and embed high-quality teaching and learning practices
- Support the wellbeing and professional growth of team members
- Contribute to the broader strategic leadership of the college
