Your new Role:
As a Senior Social Worker, you will provide specialist Infant Mental Health clinical services to infants and their families, working closely within a dynamic interprofessional team. Your work will be instrumental in supporting optimal patient outcomes and advancing service quality through leadership, education, and clinical supervision. This part-time role offers 38 hours per fortnight on Monday to Friday day shifts, with the added convenience of onsite parking available.
- Clinical Leadership & Service Delivery: Manage a complex caseload involving assessment, intervention, and evaluation of infant mental health needs, applying evidence-based practices and ethical standards with increasing autonomy.
- Team Collaboration: Act as a clinical reference point within the Family LinQ team, participating actively in case conferences and multidisciplinary meetings, and providing expert advice and support.
- Supervision & Education: Mentor and supervise junior clinicians, students, and allied health assistants, fostering a learning environment that promotes professional growth.
- Service Improvement: Lead and contribute to quality improvement projects, clinical practice development, and research activities to enhance Infant Mental Health services.
- Community Engagement: Build strategic partnerships with community organizations to ensure effective discharge planning and continuity of care tailored to culturally diverse families.
About You:
We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate:
- Clinical Expertise: Extensive experience delivering infant mental health social work services with a sound understanding of complex clinical decision-making.
- Strong Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and external agencies.
- Leadership & Mentoring: Proven ability to provide clinical supervision, support less experienced staff, and contribute to student education.
- Service Improvement Focus: A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for enhancing clinical practices and patient outcomes.
- Commitment to Quality: Dedication to upholding safety, ethical standards, and inclusive, patient-centred care.
