Gold Coast Health delivers a broad range of secondary and tertiary health services across more than 20 facilities, including three hospitals and two health precincts.

Reporting to the Health Service Chief Executive, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a critical influence to ensure that activity and behaviours bring strategy to life and provide a more integrated care system that is agile, responsive, efficient, safe and effective. Specifically the role is required to provide strategic leadership and assume responsibility and accountability for the day to day delivery of all clinical services of the GCHHS, which will necessitate the planning and delivery of clinical support functions in collaboration with the relevant functional leadership teams. Additionally, the COO will have full accountability for the planning and operationalisation of the new Coomera hospital development.

This is a role for a strong and collaborative leader with significant executive level operational management success in a complex healthcare environment.
