Digital Metro North (DMN) works collaboratively with Metro North Health (MNH) clinical leads and end users to deliver the digital transformation strategy for Metro North Health. It will ultimately create an integrated digital hospital and healthcare environment across Metro North. In meeting this strategy significant capital works are being undertaken over the next five years that includes hospital construction/refurbishment and the implementation of ieMR Advanced solution across Metro North. Delivering this will require a dedicated team, with the capacity to work across initiatives and domains, with the knowledge, determination, skills and experience to deliver.

Metro North Health is looking for two skilled project management professionals with experience in applying project management frameworks and methodologies in complex digital environments including key stakeholder engagement and management.
One position is permanent full-time, and the other is fixed-term full-time until 28 June 2026. Both offer the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by mentoring and coaching project teams, driving successful outcomes through strategic leadership and collaboration.
About the Role
Reporting to the Delivery Stream Lead within Digital Portfolio Services, you will lead and manage the development and implementation of medium to large scale digital and information, communication and technology (ICT) project/s, by ensuring successful completion within agreed performance criteria that contribute to positive patient and business outcomes for Metro North Health.
Key knowledge and experience
The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Manage the delivery of medium to large scale digital and ICT project/s using approved standards, project product planning and management techniques in alignment with DMN Digital Portfolio Management Office (PMO) best practice guidelines and tools as well as Queensland Health's project management methodologies
- Lead the delivery of digital projects ensuring financial, governance, assurance, benefits management, lessons learned, risk and issue management, change management and performance management are applied throughout the digital project management lifecycle
- Lead, manage and monitor and report on project related trends and performance against project plans and schedules against baselines and agreed tolerances to ensure projects continue to be delivered against time, quality, cost, scope and realisation of benefits
- Lead, manage and deliver quality project governance and reporting that supports effective decision making and transparency for project boards and higher executive governance groups for DMN and Metro North Health
- Lead and manage the day-to-day delivery of digital projects ensuring resources, expenses, budget costs and forecasts throughout the project delivery lifecycle are maintained ensuring desired outcomes are achieved and robust solutions are delivered that meet customer needs and expectations
- Lead the management of digital project risks and issues by developing timely and relevant written submissions, briefs, presentations and information papers, to support the successful delivery of projects and escalation of concerns to the Delivery Stream Lead
