About us:

The Medical/Surgical Ward 1 Unit is located in Block One on the first floor of the Gladstone Hospital. The service offers a total of 31 inpatient beds which cover sub-acute, medical, surgical, rehabilitation and palliative care patients. The Medical/Surgical Unit provides clinical care through the development and maintenance of relevant and proven patient care standards involving ongoing research in clinical applications.

About the role:

An Enrolled Nurse Advanced Skills (ENAS) position is available within the busy and dynamic Medical/Surgical ward. This Nurse will follow the four guiding values of Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) to ensure positive behaviour and performance outcomes.

About you:

  • Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
  • Possess well developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to demonstrate effective relationships with the range of health professionals involved in providing patient care.
  • Proactively identify and manage patients within the inpatient setting.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $94,242 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $39.25 - $41.65 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
