  • Salary range: $49.83 to $73.24 p.a. (HP3)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity

Deliver clinical Social Work services as a member of the community based multidisciplinary allied health team, for adults/older persons within the Townsville University Hospital catchment.

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • The successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
  • Aged Care Pre-Employment Screening: Applicants are advised this position works in an identified Aged Care Facility as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate.
  • Highly desirable: Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skill in providing clinical social work services with community based clients who present with chronic and aging health conditions and/or rehabilitation focused needs.
  • Highly regarded: Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
