We are looking for a Principal Network Analyst to lead and manage a team of talented network engineers and network analysts for our business unit, Information and Technology Partners. Networks support more than 300 sites across Queensland including telco & satellite and datacentres. It is undergoing continuous improvement. This role is key to implementing Networks operational change programme and new technologies for our partners. Coordination/project management skills are well regarded.
ITP is hosted by the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) & delivers information technology and information management services to 7 government agencies. The opportunity
As our Principal Network Analyst, you will lead a team in the management of complex network systems ensuring the efficient operation, security, and performance in IT infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to lead and deliver network-related projects on time and within budget to meet organisational objectives while being a trusted partner to our business stakeholder in providing expert advice on network-related solutions.
You will also be responsible to:
- Ensure service delivery performance aligns with agreed service levels and the business objectives of partner agencies and business performance objectives.
- Assist the Manager in project delivery to meet the needs of stakeholders and develop appropriate resourcing levels and accompanying training needs required to meet demand.
- Identify opportunities and implement operational efficiencies to improving the delivery of services.
- Initiate influencing and constructive business relationships within ITP, partner agencies, suppliers and other business areas within the department.
What we are looking for (qualifications, registrations, experience)
- Adopt modern cisco environments, particularly with respect to security and access controls. Working knowledge of telco, satellite, mobility, and guest services networks. Working knowledge of QGEA & essential 8 standards in relation to networking.
- Prior experience with Jira or similar work management tool. Demonstrated experience in scheduling and resource forecasting is desired.
- Experience in a complex multi-organisational network environment.
- Experience in establishing contracts and vendor management is required. Working knowledge of Qld Government Qld Procurement Policy/framework is highly desirable.
- Knowledge and experience in providing expert advice delivering network-related projects in a complex organisational.
- Thorough experience in delivering end-to-end project delivery and managing complex matters in a large, complex organisation.
- Experience in coaching others and providing leadership on project delivery services.
- Presents technical information and risks in plain language, verbally and in written proposals and business cases.
- Professional communication, collaboration and influencing skills.
