This diverse Centre is located approximately 15 kilometres from Townsville City. It supports men's and women's high and low custody for individuals at various stages of their sentence, from all across Queensland. Why Choose Us?

• New Roles: QCS is expanding its teams statewide to introduce new roles and disciplines. As a senior clinician, you can be the first step in this change at Townsville Correctional Complex.
• Clinical Expertise: Conduct interventions, assessments and consultations that contribute to behaviour support and management plans, while able to operate independently to manage complex cases and situations.
• Professional Growth: Strengthen your current experience working with a broad range of psychological presentations that will expand your clinical knowledge.
• Leadership Opportunity: Your clinical supervision and mentorship will contribute to team performance, capability learning, and retention.
• Supportive Culture: Work with a multi-disciplinary, collaborative, professional team providing mental health services within a dynamic operating environment.
• Service Delivery: Assist the Senior Psychologist/Mental Health Team Leader to sustain a service focused team and culture through task allocation, knowledge sharing, recruitment and onboarding.

About You:

• Advanced clinical capability, with confidence to deliver high-quality clinical services in complex, high-demand environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to maintain effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
• A thoughtful approach to practice with accompanying ability to contribute to clinical discussions and outcomes.
• Professional accountability and integrity, with a thorough understanding of ethical and legal responsibilities in psychological practice.
• Proven experience and able to adapt when task priorities change
• Cultural capability and inclusive practice to deliver services responsive to the needs of First Nations and other diverse populations.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Occupational Therapy with relevant registration with AHPRA, or tertiary qualifications in Social Work with membership to AASW highly desirable.
• Minimum two years' post-graduate experience in mental health (desirable).
• C Class Driver's Licence.
