The Opportunity
About the role
The Project Manager will work within the Transformation Program Office leading and managing significant and complex projects. The Transformation Program Office is responsible for leading the department's internal transformation. You will drive engagement, change and innovation to ensure project success and deliver high quality outcomes for DPI and industry.
You will have proven experience leading the delivery of large-scale, complex, multi-disciplinary projects across a geographically dispersed workforce. You will also have a depth of technical expertise (in project management involving organisational change and improvement in functional areas and/or operations).

As our Project Manager, Transformation Program Office, you will: 
• Analyse, develop, design, and implement project plans to deliver projects.
• Plan and manage projects in line with Department of Primary Industries and whole of Government best practice and standards and following project management methodologies.
• Provide high level strategic direction and leadership in the analysis, design, development and implementation of projects and related business strategies.
• Provide regular project progress status and financial reports and prepare, review and present briefing notes, submissions, and other correspondence.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver project outputs and/or outcomes and to ensure compliance with business governance processes.
• Provide guidance to project stakeholders to facilitate informed business decisions that improve business practices and meet changing and challenging business needs.
• Represent the project in a variety of forums.

You may also have
• Relevant tertiary and/or project management qualifications will be highly regarded and proven experience of project management and senior stakeholder engagement.
• Demonstrated experience and success in delivering projects involving organisational change/reform and operational improvement in a complex organisation.
