The role:
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Officer will provide critical support to enable the successful delivery of Delivery Office projects and related Delivery Office activities as required.
You will have demonstrated experience working in an Information Management (IM) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) project environment, including project planning, risk and issue management, reporting, budgeting, and project closure. You will also have the ability to plan, coordinate, and support the delivery of specialised work packages.
We are looking for a flexible team player with excellent time management skills who can effectively prioritise tasks and work collaboratively to achieve project outcomes.

To be successful in the role, you will:
- Support, coordinate and complete the delivery of specialised and/or small work packages and project activities.
- Assist with the development of project management documentation, including project plans, budgets and estimates ensuring they meet high quality standards.
- Provide secretariat support by scheduling, coordinating, and managing meetings, including preparing agendas and distributing meeting materials.
- Manage the project inbox inclusive of prioritising correspondence, responding as required, and ensuring project documents are progressed in accordance with established governance processes.
- Assist with the preparation and compilation of project management reports and other general administrative tasks ensuring high quality standards are maintained.
- Ensure projects are managed in accordance with best practice guidelines to enable the achievement of consistent and quality project outcomes.
- Monitor and report on work package activities against agreed criteria.
- Support risk and issue identification, assessment, and mitigation activities by ensuring risks and issues are documented, reviewed and escalated as appropriate.
- Ensure use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools in line with Queensland Health policy.
- Maintain positive relationships with and between internal and external stakeholders, facilitate effective communications and foster relationships through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.
