Expression of Interest
The purpose of this role is to provide specialist midwifery project skills and clinical midwifery expertise that enables implementation of elements of the Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health and Department of Education) Certified Agreement (EB12) 2025 and other projects within the Office of the Chief Midwife Officer.
About you
- Registered Midwife who:
- Is appointed to an advanced practice midwifery position; and
- Demonstrates a specialised clinical expertise and/or specialised skill set in Midwifery Group Practice or Continuity of Care.
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Midwife. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to the commencement of employment.
- Experience at an advanced practice level in midwifery positions in various settings/models of care with extensive experience in Midwifery Group Practice or other Continuity of Care models.
- Experience in the application of quality improvement / redesign methodology in complex maternity service settings.
- Proven experience in the management of large-scale complex projects through all phases of the project life cycle in a clinical environment applying project management and change management methodologies.
- Experience in stakeholder relationship management to support effective business change, including the ability to initiate relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated high level analytical, planning and evaluation skills including the ability to effectively integrate related activities to achieve project deliverables and outcomes.
The incumbent is required to operate a motor vehicle and as such, a current ‘C' class licence must be provided.
This position is required to travel and work across QH facilities during the life cycle of this project. Travel will necessitate up to several days away from the nominated work location. Travel is negotiated in collaboration with Project team and individual HHS staff to meet the Projects objectives.
