Biosecurity Queensland (BQ) plays a leadership role in the biosecurity system in collaboration with its stakeholders. BQ leads the Queensland Government's efforts to protect our way of life, environment, biodiversity, human and animal health, industries and economy from plant and animal pest and disease threats.
Through supporting the collective efforts of our stakeholders and all Queenslanders, BQ will continue to protect our state and Australia from emerging plant and animal pests and diseases and effectively manage existing ones.

The Veterinary Surgeons Board of Queensland (the Board) is a statutory authority established under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1936 (the Act). The Board represents the State of Queensland and has the sole legislative responsibility for the regulation of veterinary science in our state. The Board is part of the Department of Primary Industries for financial accountability purposes.

As the Registrar of the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Queensland, you will:
• Develop and maintain effective relationships, communication networks and partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders to promote compliance with veterinary legislation, policies and standards in Queensland.
• Lead and manage a small team that supports the Board to achieve outcomes consistent with the provisions of the Act.
• Direct the development and maintenance of effective and accountable policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Act, all relevant statutory obligations and Department policies
