As our Senior Scientist (AgTech) you will identify and evaluate technologies that support and meet vegetable industry priorities for an advanced field mechanisation program and work collaboratively with commercial vegetable producers, project partners and technology providers to integrate automated and mechanised solutions.

As our Senior Scientist (AgTech) you will:
- Identify and evaluate technologies that support and meet vegetable industry priorities for an advanced field mechanisation program
- Work collaboratively with commercial vegetable producers, project partners and technology providers to integrate automated and mechanised solutions
- Identify, analyse, and resolve issues to assist producers customise, validate and adopt technology solutions
- Coordinate and develop technology trials that record system impacts through the analysis of farming system data and producer adoption challenges
- In collaboration with international project partners, lead domestic and international study tours focused on mechanisation options for the Australian vegetable industry
- Communicate and report project objectives and outcomes, through written, verbal and digital communications as well as field events and other forums, to industry and other relevant stakeholders.
Mandatory requirements:
- A current 'C' class drivers licence\
- The ability to undertake domestic and international travel
- It is a mandatory requirement for a professional officer to possess an Australian Bachelor degree (AQF level 7 or equivalent) or higher in agricultural science, technology or mechatronic engineering from a recognised tertiary institution
- For international qualifications, the applicant will need their qualification assessed,to determine comparability with the Australian Qualifications Framework.
