Vocational Education Training Officer - Identified


Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre; Custodial Operations; Wacol

In this role you will design, co-ordinate, implement and evaluate vocational training programs and related activities to meet the needs of the offender population within the facility. This position will contribute to the proposed objectives and outcomes of the Queensland Government’s Delivering for Queensland plan, National Agreement on Closing the Gap, Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody, Better Justice Together: Queensland’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Justice Strategy 2024-2031, as well as the organisation’s own 2030 Strategic Plan.

There will be cultural support available for the incumbent through Murridhagun Cultural Centre.

Mandatory requirements for the role: -

- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor,
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education or vocational education and training.
- TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set
- TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor
- TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor
- TAESS00009 Address Foundation Skills in Vocational Practice Skill Set or its successor
- TAE80113 Graduate Diploma of Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Practice (and its equivalent TAE70111)
- Bachelor of Education, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Education, or higher (Primary, Secondary or Adult)
- As this position will require travel and work across various locations possession of a driver's licence, minimum C class Australian licence is a mandatory requirement.
