About the role

Fixed Term Temporary part time opportunity to provide advanced clinical occupational therapy services within acute inpatient settings while leading and supporting the day‑to‑day operational delivery of Occupational Therapy services. The role provides specialist consultancy, leadership, supervision and service development within a multidisciplinary framework to ensure safe, effective and evidence‑based care for patients, carers and families across the Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford Directorate.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Lead acute occupational therapy team by fostering and committing to patient safety and quality delivery of healthcare and service evaluation including staff supervision, service delivery, education and quality improvements.
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of workforce planning to meet service requirements, developing multidisciplinary capability as necessary.
  • Provide expert guidance to service planning and lead the implementation of evidence-based reviews and service evaluation activities to support continuous quality improvement and maintenance of clinical practice standards within the occupational therapy service, and within specific clinical service areas, including multidisciplinary teams.
  • Represent Occupational Therapy as a clinical expert, consultant and resource person on internal and external professional networks and/or committees
