As Manager, Industry Support & Coordination, you will:
· Lead and manage a team to deliver high-quality outcomes in a high-volume environment, foster a culture of high performance, and ensure compliance with organisational policies, including performance development agreements and associated frameworks.
· Develop and implement workflows and processes for the coordination, monitoring, review, and approval of incoming correspondence, briefings, submissions and other deliverables.
· Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies and initiatives related to forestry matters, including the analysis of complex issues, formulation of evidence-based solutions and negotiation of recommended outcomes.
· Develop and maintain collaborative and productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including peak industry bodies, government agencies and subject matter experts.
· Lead, contribute to, and ensure the effectiveness of, responses to contentious or sensitive issues by ensuring quality, integrated, consistent and timely information is provided to executives, including briefings, submissions and correspondence.
· Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives to streamline operations and enhance organisational performance.
· Prepare and review complex departmental and whole-of-government policy papers, briefing notes, submissions, reports, and executive correspondence to ensure high-quality, accurate and timely responses.
· Promote team capability development and provide mentorship to enhance individual and team performance.
· Represent the department in committees, forums, and discussions with government and industry stakeholders to advocate for and advance forestry-related priorities.
