As a Procurement Officer, you will play a key role in managing procurement activities to support organisational objectives and ensure compliance with relevant policies and best practices.
You will provide expert advice on procurement matters, collaborate with stakeholders to deliver effective sourcing solutions, and maintain accurate records to uphold accountability and transparency. Your contributions will help drive the development and implementation of procurement strategies aligned with government priorities and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning and Contract Management: Demonstrate strong analytical and organisational skills to effectively plan procurement activities, develop comprehensive sourcing documentation, and manage evaluation processes for both routine and strategic contracts. Apply attention to detail and project management skills to ensure timely and compliant procurement outcomes.
Client Advisory and Stakeholder Engagement: Utilise advanced communication and interpersonal skills to provide high-level client advisory services on procurement functions. This includes offering clear, accurate, and timely advice, as well as developing agreements across whole-of-government category groups. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational and government objectives.
Record-Keeping and Compliance: Exhibit a meticulous approach to maintaining detailed and accurate documentation of procurement processes, decisions, and contractual arrangements. Leverage knowledge of compliance frameworks, such as the Queensland Procurement Policy (QPP), to ensure all procurement activities meet probity, accountability, and audit requirements.
