As a Senior Program Officer in the Tourism Division (DETSI), you'll take a leading role in managing stakeholder engagement projects and initiatives. Collaborating across government agencies and with tourism industry leaders, you will:

  • Create and execute stakeholder engagement plans aligned with the Destination 2045 strategy.
  • Build strong, sustainable relationships with industry, government agencies, and tourism organisations.
  • Lead stakeholder and engagement projects, supporting clear communication and collaborative partnerships.
  • Plan and oversee events and workshops, including occasional travel across Queensland.
  • Manage contracts, budgets, and reporting for tourism projects.
  • Contribute to the development of presentations, reports, briefing notes, and strategic documents.

Your skills, experience, and qualities are what matter most. We're looking for:

  • The ability to deliver successful projects and achieve stakeholder collaboration outcomes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong project management expertise to ensure tasks and priorities are delivered on time, and to a high standard.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to produce high-quality written documents for a range of stakeholders, including reports, Ministerial briefs, and program guidelines.
