Chapel Hill State School is seeking a collaborative and strategic Business Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality corporate services and support the ongoing success of a vibrant and inclusive school community.

Working closely with the Principal and leadership team, this role plays a key part in workforce management, financial oversight, workplace health and safety, return to work coordination and operational planning to support positive outcomes for students and staff.

About the Role

As the Business Manager, you will be an integral member of the leadership team, supporting the effective day-to-day operations of the school while contributing to strategic planning and organisational success. This is a dynamic role suited to an experienced corporate services professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced educational environment and leading diverse operational functions.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and manage the delivery of corporate services including finance, human resources, administration and facilities management.
  • Support workforce planning, recruitment, induction and performance management processes for school support staff.
  • Provide strategic financial advice and assist in the development, monitoring and reporting of school budgets.
  • Work collaboratively with the Principal and leadership team to support school improvement priorities and operational effectiveness.
  • Build strong working relationships with staff, community members and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery.

  • Demonstrates strong leadership and people management capability.
  • Has excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Possesses strong financial and administrative management experience.
  • Builds positive relationships and communicates effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to continuous improvement and customer service excellence.
