Your new role:
As the Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellow, you will join a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team delivering tertiary-level care to women with complex pregnancies across the Metro South catchment, with opportunities to develop advanced clinical, procedural, academic and leadership capabilities through hands-on experience and supported training, including:
- Dedicated supervised teaching ultrasound lists alongside MFM sonographers and consultants
- Exposure to high-risk obstetrics, fetal anomalies, complex twin pregnancies and fetal procedures
- Participation in fetal medicine, maternal medicine and multidisciplinary clinics
- Involvement in prenatal genetics, neonatology and paediatric subspecialty counselling
- Preparation and presentation of Maternal Fetal Medicine multidisciplinary meetings
- Supervised diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound-guided procedures
- Opportunities to contribute to education, registrar supervision and leadership development
- Participation in governance, quality improvement and perinatal morbidity and mortality reviews
- Inpatient and outpatient care within a rapidly evolving tertiary MFM service
About you:
You will be a motivated and compassionate medical professional with a strong interest in Maternal Fetal Medicine and high-risk obstetrics, who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment and is committed to ongoing clinical and professional development, with:
- Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia
- Advanced RANZCOG training experience or completion of FRANZCOG
- Demonstrated clinical capability in obstetric and high-risk pregnancy care
- Strong communication skills, including compassionate and trauma-informed patient care
- An interest in fetal medicine, ultrasound and complex obstetric management
- The ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to teaching, mentoring and supporting junior medical staff
- A proactive approach to quality improvement, governance and continuous learning
- High levels of professionalism, integrity and patient-centred care
