Our Rockhampton Hospital is the largest referral centre in Central Queensland, offering the opportunity to work within a modern 305-bed facility that delivers a broad range of specialist and tertiary healthcare services. As part of our team, you'll have access to state-of-the-art facilities, including the region's newly established integrated cancer care centre, equipped with advanced medical technology.
Working within a connected network of hospitals across Gladstone, Emerald, Yeppoon, Biloela and rural communities, you'll play an important role in supporting patients from across the region as they access specialist care. About the role:
- Strengthen healthcare partnerships by building and maintaining collaborative relationships between CQHHS, General Practices, hospitals, primary care providers, private organisations and NGOs to improve patient outcomes.
- Improve patient transitions and continuity of care through initiatives that enhance communication, information sharing and coordination between general practice, specialists and hospital services.
- Drive innovative models of care that support integrated, patient-centred service delivery, reduce avoidable hospitalisations, and promote shared management of patients with chronic and complex conditions.
- Lead service improvement and strategic development by identifying opportunities to enhance outpatient services, reduce waiting lists, improve KPIs, and contribute to health service planning and governance activities.
- Champion quality, safety and collaboration by supporting evidence-based practice, stakeholder engagement, workforce development, continuous improvement, and ensuring patients receive the right care, from the right provider, at the right time and in the right setting.
About you:
- Qualified General Practitioner with MBBS (or equivalent) and Fellowship of either the RACGP or ACRRM is mandatory.
Highly desirable:
- Exceptional communicator and relationship builder, able to effectively engage, influence and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Skilled problem solver and negotiator with the ability to facilitate system improvements, manage competing priorities and support positive outcomes across the healthcare continuum.
- Collaborative and adaptable leader who demonstrates diplomacy, conflict resolution skills, initiative and the ability to mentor, coach and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Passionate advocate for healthcare innovation and service improvement, committed to strengthening integration between primary and hospital care.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $94,493 p.a. is comprised of:
- A salary rate between $89.87 - $92.68 p.h. (L13 – L14)
- A salary rate between $89.87 - $103.80 p.h. (L13 – L18)
- A salary rate between $103.80 - $124.13 p.h. (L18 – L25)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
