About us:
Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS) delivers specialist mental health, alcohol and other drug services to communities across Rockhampton, the Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana regions, supporting a population of more than 250,000 people through locally based services.
Rockhampton serves as the primary hub for specialist mental health services, including administration of the Mental Health Act 2016 and the region's acute adult inpatient facilities. The service also includes an Adult Step Up Step Down facility in Gladstone and an Adult Community Care Unit in Rockhampton, providing a continuum of care across Central Queensland.
About the role:
- Provide advanced, recovery-focused mental health care for adults living with serious and complex mental health conditions in community settings.
- Deliver comprehensive assessments, case management, therapeutic interventions and ongoing treatment as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with consumers, families, carers and a range of internal and external stakeholders to support recovery and advocate for positive outcomes.
- Apply critical thinking, clinical judgement and evidence-based practice to assessment, treatment planning, discharge planning and evaluation of care.
- Support professional growth within the team through clinical supervision, education, mentoring and ongoing professional development.
About you:
- Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice as an Occupational Therapist, Psychologist or Social Worker.
- Appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 is highly desirable.
- Demonstrate competent level of knowledge and skill to undertake routine clinical practice with a basic understanding of recovery focussed Mental Health care.
- Demonstrate an ability to deliver routine adult mental health clinical services utilising time management and prioritisation skills.
- Demonstrate an ability to contribute to the professional development of self and others through education, professional networking and application of evidence-based practice.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $11,047 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $43.68 - $58.59 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
