Make a difference through great customer service and ensuring road safety. You'll play an important role in delivering high quality, accessible services to the Queensland community. Every day is different, and your work will directly support customers to access essential government products and services.
As the Driving Examiner/Customer Service Advisor, you will:
• Conduct practical driving assessments for applicants, ensuring compliance with Queensland Government standards and road safety regulations.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of required services to be able to perform service interactions including procedures, processes and customer channel options.
• Deliver essential government services, including licensing, registration and other products, through a variety of communication channels to enable customers to complete their requests in an efficient and effective manner. For example, but not limited to, licencing, deceased estates, vessel registration and a range of other customer services.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of industry standards and product safety as they relate to the driver licence assessment function.
• Work collaboratively as an effective team member to achieve key team and individual performance targets, supporting and participating in team activities and massisting to meet team objectives. If required, you may be requested to provide training and mentoring to Customer Service Advisors and/or less experienced Driver Examiners in customer services, systems and products.
Role Requirements:
• A current and valid Queensland driver's licence is mandatory. An HC (Heavy Combination) or higher licence class or R (motorcycle) licence is highly desirable.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Driving Examiner accreditation through the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
• Customer service - Required to interact with a diverse customer base and assess customer needs and provide information and direction to appropriate service channels, including referring customers to other service specialist and locations.
• Working in a team environment - Required to work collaboratively as an effective team member to achieve key team and individual performance targets.
• Interpretation of policy, procedures and guidelines - Required to interpret and provide advice to staff and customers, to ensure consistent standards of service
• A clean driving record with no significant infringements.
• Some travel will be involved with this role to support neighbouring centres
