Regional Director
Child and Family; Region - South West; Service Delivery - Child and Family; Ipswich
We are seeking a Regional Director to lead and manage the relevant Region (Child and Family) to deliver government priorities for culturally responsive and needs-based client service delivery. The Regional Director is responsible for the day-to-day operational service delivery across the district/region and to drive customer centric and contemporary service models and provide outstanding stewardship and strategic leadership to achieve the region’s vision, priorities and responsibilities.
Through a results-driven approach and a client, citizen and community-focused culture, you will contribute to achieving high quality and sustainable service delivery outcomes.
You will partner with senior executives, internally within the department, across the Queensland public service and interjurisdictionally, to provide solutions to drive better outcomes for Queenslanders.

The Regional Director will assist the department to achieve its vision through a results-driven approach and a client and community-focused culture. You will display the core public sector values of: customers first; ideas into action; unleash potential; be courageous; and empower people. The position requires a person who will take personal responsibility for serving the government of the day and meeting the needs of the people and communities of Queensland. As a senior executive, you will work towards a system of world class service delivery and public sector management.
You will have a record of success as a leader in a large, dynamic and complex organisation with outstanding leadership ability. You will have extensive experience, and you will have a strong background in strategy and policy implementation, governance, service delivery and client service. You will have a proven track record as a leader delivering change in challenging environments, facilitating partnerships and alliances and in fostering a confident and capable workforce. Experience working in a child protection environment is highly desirable.
As a senior executive leader in Queensland Government, the Regional Director will display outstanding judgment, high-level integrity and resilience, strong agility to adapt to a constantly changing environment, a strong achievement orientation and excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will provide strong professional leadership and management capabilities and the ability to lead and manage the district/region to deliver government priorities along with excellence in client service delivery. The Regional Director is to provide high level leadership particularly by working proactively and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and by managing inter-governmental and sector relations.
As an executive, your performance will be assessed according to four key accountability perspectives: stakeholder and outcome, internal business, financial, and learning and growth.
