This Regulatory Compliance Officer role supports the registration, accreditation, monitoring and compliance of providers in areas including community housing, residential services, manufactured homes and retirement villages.

As a Regulatory Compliance Officer, you will contribute to work that supports safe, fair and accountable services across Queensland. The role sits within Regulatory Services and helps administer legislation affecting community housing, residential services, manufactured homes and retirement villages.

This is a role for someone who enjoys analysing information, working with stakeholders and applying sound judgement in a regulatory environment. It offers a mix of office-based work, written reporting and site-based compliance activity.

What you will be doing
- Assess policies, procedures, forms, registers and other evidence documents to support registration, accreditation and compliance decisions.
- Complete registrations, accreditations, investigations and compliance site visits as part of regulatory activities.
- Travel to regional areas where required to undertake compliance site visits.
- Monitor services for compliance with legislation, accreditation standards and other prescribed requirements.
- Initiate corrective or enforcement action where necessary.
- Prepare detailed registration and compliance reports, enforcement notices, and other fit-for-purpose reporting on activities, evaluations, recommendations and decisions.
- Contribute to Ministerial, Executive and other business correspondence in a timely and professional way.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with service providers, immediate teams and work groups.

What you will bring
- The ability to analyse and evaluate a range of documentation with care and rigour.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Confidence communicating with stakeholders both face-to-face and in writing.
- Professional and ethical behaviour, with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge or experience relevant to compliance and auditing in a regulatory environment.

This role contributes to the department's broader work to improve outcomes for the state and support services that make a real difference to Queenslanders.
