Principal Project Officer - Governance & Risk

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced officer for a 5 week opportunity to lead and provide specialist expertise on the establishment and maintenance of program and project boards, Terms of Reference reviews, governance advisory services, and board effectiveness review activities. You will be a valued contributor to sustaining the Delivery Services Branch delivery portfolio governance capability and maturity across the organisation.

The role:

In this role, you will:
- Coordinate stakeholder consultation relating to program and project governance frameworks and process guide improvements.
- Maintain governance advisory services on board establishment and operations and Terms of Reference, providing clear and actionable advice to align with program and project governance principles and operational expectations.
- Preparing presentations, workshops, and participating in project delivery capability improvements sessions.
- Writing governance related correspondence and briefs.
We're looking for someone with:
- Strong experience and knowledge of applying governance principles, board operations frameworks and processes, and program and project methodologies in a large and complex delivery portfolio.
- Ability to interpret program and project governance information, identify improvement opportunities and gaps, and provide clear and actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to engage stakeholders across multiple layers of the organisation from project delivery to senior executives.
