The opportunity:
As a Research Facility Manager:
• Develop and implement operational and business plans related to research and development, compliance and resource management.
• Build trusted relationships with DAF researchers and technical staff and external researchers to capitalise on the use of Agtech equipment and resources.
• Make informed, data-driven decisions and ensure the integrity of research, development and extension projects and activities are respected to deliver positive outcomes for industry.
• Take opportunities for your own professional development and of the staff you supervise through performance capability planning and dedicated career development training programs.

Emerald is located a three-hour drive from Rockhampton and is the largest town in the Central Queensland Highlands.
You may be entitled to the following:
• Locality allowance.
• Housing may be available.
• 5 weeks recreation leave.
• Relocation expenses.

What we are looking for: (qualifications, registrations, experience)
There are some qualifications and licences that we see as essential. You must possess a:
•  Minimum of a Diploma or Associate Diploma in Agricultural or Animal Sciences or equivalent.
•  A current “C” class drivers' licence.

This role requires the ability to handle and operate both traditional and technologically advanced farming equipment.
