The position of Principal Finance Accountant plays a pivotal role within the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) Finance Team.
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Supervise a team in managing the financial accounting function, providing support, training, professional development and encouragement.
- Allocate work and priorities ensuring timeframes and quality outcomes are met and promote ethical behaviour and continuous improvement.
- Oversee and manage the end of month, annual financial reports and statements, addressing issues to ensure integrity and compliance with relevant legislation, government and Queensland Health policies and Accounting Standards, including:
Remuneration value up to $166 569 p.a., comprising salary between $136 035 - $145 990 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (PO5).
