Townsville Hospital and Health Service, is the public healthcare provider for the government areas of Townsville, Burdekin, Charters Towers, Flinders, Richmond, Hinchinbrook and Palm Island. We operate 21 facilities from primary care in regional locations to highly specialised care at the main hospital.

As the strategic interface between the People Strategy and Governance Directorate and the operating business, we are seeking to appoint a highly capable and competent Human Resources Business Partner to drive implementation of the organisation’s strategic workforce plan, initiatives and actions within a defined business portfolio to meet defined people and culture goals and targets.

About the opportunity:
Position:
Human Resources Business Partner
Vacancy: Permanent Full-time, 76 hours per fortnight
Location: Human, People Resources Business Partnering, Townsville

What's on offer?
Remuneration package of up to $148,322 p.a.

  • Salary range: $121,360 to $129,998 p.a. (AO6)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Flexible working arrangements may be available
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options

About the role

  • Responsible for delivery of strategic HR activity within a given business portfolio including the meeting of own HR and workforce development requirements.
  • Manages key stakeholder relationships effectively to ensure workforce requirements are understood and supported within the workplace, providing regular performance reporting to the Manager HR Business Partnering on progress against all HR / workforce development result areas and targets.
  • Provides informed and evidence-based HR advice and consultancy to senior line management within portfolio on a range of complex workforce related challenges across the employment cycle, operating within policy and industrial frameworks to support achievement of required people and culture objectives.

Highly regarded

  • Possession of a tertiary qualification at AQF 7 (Degree) or above in a human resource, business or organisational studies field or demonstrable equivalent HR experience built progressively over at least a 5 year period.
  • Professional membership of the Australian Human Resources Institute.
