This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop the Office of the Deputy Director-General and be part of the future Queensland Tourism agenda.
The Tourism Division drives growth in Queensland's tourism industry, and is government's first advisor on tourism, working closely with the private sector, industry representative and peak bodies, and across government to support and grow the state's tourism sector.
This role will play a vital part in supporting the Deputy Director-General, being an interface between the division and the Office of the Director-General, strengthening relationships and providing timely, comprehensive, quality advice to enable the efficient operation and aspirations of the tourism division.
The role will have oversight and will be responsible for preparing complex submissions, reports, papers, briefings and correspondence. The Director will lead and develop best-in-class processes to support effective divisional operations and will lead projects that may be sensitive, complex or contentious.
The Director will promote a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace and be responsible for change programs for continuous workplace development.
