Your New Team
The Constitutional Law Team advises on some of the most complex and high-profile legal issues facing the State. Known for its depth of expertise, the team provides
constitutional and public law advice, supports High Court litigation, and assists the Crown Solicitor and Deputy Crown Solicitor to advice and represent the Attorney- General on matters of significance. Known for its expertise and impact, the team also provides strategic legal advice to key government stakeholders.

Your New Role
In this pivotal leadership role, you'll head a respected team known for the provision of advice and advocacy across State and Federal Courts.

As an Assistant Crown Solicitor in the Constitutional Law team, you will be a legal specialist in constitutional law, statutory interpretation and/or human rights—guiding the team's legal performance, client engagement, and day-to-day operations.

You'll be empowered to lead a team that:
- provides advice on complex questions of constitutional law and statutory interpretation;
- instructs the Solicitor-General and other counsel in constitutional matters in the State and Federal Courts;
- provides advice and representation in matters involving the interpretation and application of the Human Rights Act 2019; and
-assists the Crown Solicitor in advising the Attorney - General, including those matters relating to ministerial correspondence and miscarriage of justice.

Your Skills Profile
• At least 10 years PAE ideally in public sector law and/or constitutional law;
• Solid track record in delivering strategic and high quality advice;
• Strong background in supervising and leading teams;
• A collaborative leadership style and genuine interest in mentoring and developing your team;
• Proven success in driving high levels of client service and engagement;
• Experience in process improvement and change management;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Exceptional written and verbal communication.
