Your new role:

As an Allied Health Assistant, you will support occupational therapists and allied health professionals in delivering high-quality patient care. This role is hands-on, combining clinical assistance and administrative support to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centred services.

• Deliver patient interventions under the supervision of allied health professionals.
• Assist with treatment programs, patient care, and safe handling.
• Maintain, monitor, and prepare therapy equipment and resources.
• Support accurate record-keeping and contribute to team communication.

About you:

We are looking for a reliable, compassionate individual who enjoys working in a healthcare team and is committed to delivering quality patient care.

• Experience in a healthcare setting, with the ability to work within scope of practice.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to support patients and colleagues.
• Good time management and ability to prioritise workload under direction.
• Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (highly regarded but not mandatory).

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
