In this role you will support the Information Technology Services Branch deliver timely and high-quality client services by processing requests for ICT equipment needs, including PCs, printers, software and mobile phones, for business areas across the department and liaising with these areas about their needs/requirements as required.
The primary accountabilities of the Administration Officer include:
- Process requests for purchasing ICT equipment needs, including PCs, printers, software licences and mobile phones, from business areas across the department consistent with the expectations of the Branch and proper process.
- Liaise with business areas about their ICT equipment requirements, advise about the purchasing process and timeframes and follow-up out-standing requests.
- Liaise with vendors about purchasing requests to gather accurate information, including availability to ICT equipment, relevant to each request.
- Undertake basic research to assist business areas with their ICT equipment needs.
- Undertake the range of tasks for the procurement, registration, stocktaking, licensing and maintenance of departmental information technology assets.
- Provide efficient and effective administrative support to the branch including maintaining registers, word processing and correspondence tracking.
- Respond to enquiries and provide timely and accurate information, and/or escalate to the appropriate officer/area.
- Liaise and maintain effective communications with all levels of staff and clients within and external to the organisation with a focus on building sound working relations.
- Adhere to procedures and processes in relation to human resource, financial and procurement practices.
