This Expression of Interest collects a variety of information that will help the Townsville Hospital and Health Service identify potentially suitable applicants for future Pharmacy employment opportunities.
If deemed suitable your details will remain in the Clinical Talent Pool for a period of 12 months and you will be contacted further by the Pharmacy Department at the time an opportunity arises.
Further participation in other recruitment selection processes (for example written application and/or interview) to further assess suitability for appointment to a specific position may be required. Specialty skills will be assessed to determine eligibility for available positions.

About the work unit / facility:
The Pharmacy Department at the Townsville University Hospital is seeking Pharmacists with varied experience to fill future vacancies. Roles to be filled through this recruitment process may be of a full-time or part-time. If you have a preference, please indicate this though your online application.
The successful candidate may be required to provide pharmacy services across 7-days (Monday to Sunday) to designated work units. As part of your application we will ask about your availability to work weekends, and within specific roles in the team.

Competitive salary and benefits:
- Salary range: $4912.70 to $5286.40 per fortnight (HP4)
- Salaray range: $64.64 to $69.55 per hour (HP4)
- 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with 14-17.5% loading.
- Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.

About your opportunity:
- Deliver a high level of professional client focused pharmacy service and leadership within an evidence-based, quality, and multidisciplinary health care environment during periods of recreation leave or temporary vacancy within the Pharmacy's Medical Team. This role may include participation in the clinical weekend roster.
- Promote safe, effective, and efficient use of medicines in keeping with the department's goals and objectives and mission statements for Townsville University Hospital and Health Service.
Requirements:
- Possession of a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from a recognised tertiary institution (or equivalent).
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- A health-related post-graduate qualification and/or enrolment in the SHPA residency program are desirable.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role.
- A probationary period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
