As the Nurse Practitioner – GERI/RaSS at Rockhampton Hospital, you’ll provide advanced geriatric assessment, care coordination, and leadership across hospital and aged care settings. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll deliver rapid intervention, optimise patient outcomes, and strengthen links between acute and residential care environments.

About us:

Rockhampton has 12 Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACF's) and two RACF's on the Capricorn Coast. Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) has a total of 21 accredited RACF's and 7 Multipurpose Health Services within the catchment area. This includes both public and private RACF facilities. Non-accredited RACF's and NDIS residential facilities are not included in the scope of this service.

About the role:

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a Registered Nurse (RN) appointed to the position with endorsements to practice as a Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner works within current Commonwealth, State and District regulations in relation to expanded authorities in the RACF setting.

About you:

  • Registration and Nurse Practitioner endorsement with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and possession of a current practicing certificate.
  • While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in gerontology, palliative care or chronic disease management would be well regarded.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $14,816 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $75.27 - $78.59 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
