About the Orthopaedic Department
Working in the Department will present the opportunity to enhance your orthopaedic knowledge and develop skills while contributing invaluably to the provision of patient care as a member of the Orthopaedic team.
The Department caters for a population of approximately 180,000, in addition to a sizeable number of interstate and international tourists. The Orthopaedic Department performs approximately 2,300 theatre procedures per year – of which there are 1,500 emergency procedures. The Outpatients Department has approximately 80 patients in the Fracture Clinic and 50 new patients in the Orthopaedic clinic in one week.
Your opportunity
- To participate in the provision, development, and maintenance of an effective, efficient, and equitable clinical service to hospital clients; and contribute to the continual improvement of medical education and dissemination of knowledge to staff and clients.
- The appointment will be to the Mackay Hospital and Health Service for the provision of services to the Mackay Base Hospital. However, at some future time, the appointee's clinical duties may be extended to other health care facilities within the Health Service.
Salary & Other Benefits
Remuneration value up to $172,343 p.a. comprising salary between $4,966.90 p.f. - $5,758.70 p.f. (L4-L9)
