Your new role:
In this advanced mental health nursing role, you will provide high-level clinical care, assessment, planning and coordination for consumers with acute and complex mental health needs. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will support recovery-oriented practice, contribute to clinical leadership, and uphold the standards and frameworks that guide Mental Health Services.
You will:
- Provide advanced assessment, problem-solving and care planning for acute mental health consumers
- Deliver safe, person-centred nursing care aligned with the Mental Health Act 2016
- Lead clinical decision-making and support team coordination in complex situations
- Support education, clinical facilitation and development of nursing staff and students
- Contribute to quality improvement, incident review, and evidence-based service development
About you:
You are an experienced mental health clinician with high-level critical thinking, advanced assessment capability and a commitment to recovery-focused, trauma-informed care. You bring strong leadership skills, effective communication and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary systems.
You will bring:
- Advanced clinical knowledge in acute mental health nursing practice
- Ability to conduct comprehensive physical and mental health assessments, including risk assessments
- Strong leadership, coordination and delegation capability across diverse clinical environments
- Experience supporting and educating junior nursing staff and students
- High-level communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
