As our Project Officer, you will:
- Develop and/or assist with the development of project documentation, including formal project management plans, budgets and estimates.
- Actively participate and contribute to project activities, identify obstacles, implement remedial actions and/or make recommendations to support the achievement of organisational goals and objectives.
- Ensure projects are completed within quality standards and to the highest level, ensuring that relevant policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken occurs.
- Develop, monitor and regularly report on project progress against agreed criteria.
- Maintain project/program files in accordance with departmental regulations, policies and other statutory obligations.
- Research and prepare quality reports, submissions, briefing notes, presentations and other correspondence as required.
- Manage workloads effectively, complete tasks and meet commitments within agreed to timeframes and/or expectations.
- Engage and consult with key stakeholders to identify emerging issues and develop solutions that will mitigate risk and achieve project outcomes.
- Establish, maintain and enhance positive and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Undertake other activities of the business unit as directed.
Essential requirements
- Advanced project management skills.
- Ability to effectively provide authoritative advice using effective oral and written communication skills.
- Analytic and problem-solving skills.
You may also have
- A relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable.
