The Office of the Queensland Food Farmers’ Commissioner (QFFC) is looking for a passionate and driven AO5 Project Officer to join our team and help us achieve our vision of thriving food farmers and food security for generations to come.

As our Project Officer, you will:

  • Develop and/or assist with the development of project documentation, including formal project management plans, budgets and estimates.
  • Actively participate and contribute to project activities, identify obstacles, implement remedial actions and/or make recommendations to support the achievement of organisational goals and objectives.
  • Ensure projects are completed within quality standards and to the highest level, ensuring that relevant policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken occurs.
  • Develop, monitor and regularly report on project progress against agreed criteria.
  • Maintain project/program files in accordance with departmental regulations, policies and other statutory obligations.
  • Research and prepare quality reports, submissions, briefing notes, presentations and other correspondence as required.
  • Manage workloads effectively, complete tasks and meet commitments within agreed to timeframes and/or expectations.
  • Engage and consult with key stakeholders to identify emerging issues and develop solutions that will mitigate risk and achieve project outcomes.
  • Establish, maintain and enhance positive and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake other activities of the business unit as directed.

Essential requirements

  • Advanced project management skills.
  • Ability to effectively provide authoritative advice using effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytic and problem-solving skills.

You may also have

  • A relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable.
