Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse within the Acute Pain Service, you will play a pivotal role in delivering specialist, person-centred pain management across the perioperative setting. You will:
- Provide advanced clinical assessment, planning and coordination of care for patients with complex acute pain needs
- Deliver expert clinical leadership in acute pain management, including PCA, regional techniques, epidurals and multimodal analgesia
- Contribute to education, quality improvement, research and professional practice within the Acute Pain Service
- Work collaboratively with anaesthetics, ward teams and perioperative services to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes
About you:
You are an experienced and confident clinician who thrives in complex clinical environments and is passionate about excellence in pain management and patient care. To be successful you will:
- Be a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience
- Have demonstrable advanced clinical skills (or ability to develop) in acute pain management and opioid stewardship
- Have strong clinical leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously
- Be commited to education, evidence-based practice, quality improvement and collaborative teamwork
