Expressions of Interest are being sought from experienced Registered Nurses/Midwives to join the casual nursing pools at Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Birtinya and Nambour General Hospital.

Casual Pool nurses and midwives are a crucial workforce within Sunshine Coast Health allocated to areas throughout the hospital to cover emergent leave and roster deficits to ensure safe and continuous care working with the permanent nursing  teams.

Nurses in the Casual Pool come from varying backgrounds with broad skills that can be applied to areas within the health service. Working in the Casual Pool offers the opportunity for staff to grow professionally, increase self-confidence and develop clinical skills in speciality areas.

The Casual Pool has no set roster, and nursing staff are required to submit their availability to meet workforce requirements. Casual staff are required to make themselves available on a regular basis.

This is an ongoing pipeline to be used to fill upcoming casual vacancies at Sunshine Coast Health.

Applications will be reviewed and considered if and when vacancies are identified.

The submission of an application to this applicant pipeline does not guarantee an offer of employment.

Further participation in other recruitment selection processes (for example written application and/or interview) to further assess suitability for appointment to a specific position may be required.

If deemed suitable, your details will remain in the casual pool pipeline and you may be contacted further by SCH if any opportunities arise matching your skills and location preferences.
